#15074: Persistent chat rooms without joining first

Comment (by snilek):

I think this is a very useful feature that should be a part of every IM
 client supporting group chats (MUC).

Now, if I want to permanently "be present" in multiple rooms, I have to
close the all the chat windows opened by pidgin on auto-join (one window
with tabs, but still a bit annoying).

Also, for that matter, the "minimised" auto-join should probably not
display the "auto-joined" room in the roster as containing "new messages"
when a part of the chat history is sent to the client at the moment of
joining the chat. (As sometimes happens for me with a jabber MUC, which,
for some reason, does not open in a window on auto-join, and is just
marked as having new messages in the roster.)

There is a third-party plugin for this functionality
 (https://github.com/kgraefe/pidgin-hide-chat-on-join), but it does not
work, at least on my platform (debian/linux) — the windows open
irrespective to "hide on auto-join" checked.
