Bart this sounds like database corruption, most likely not a phpSlash
issue unbless you've been adding / deleting topics, sections or comments
recently (then there might be an issue)

Can you run isamchk on your table files and see what MySQL thinks?
Perhaps looks at the MySQL update log (if you have it enabled" and see
what SQL quries might be affecting the *_lut tables?
