This has already been fixed in #40614. It takes some time for the docs
to update.

The documentation on the memory_limit configuration directive at
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php#ini.memory-limit states "In
order to use this directive you must have enabled it at compile time.
So, your configure line would have included: --enable-memory-limit."

This behavior was changed in 5.2.1 -- memory_limit is now always
enabled. The manual page should indicate this change.
