Subject:    [PHP] Bizarre gethostbyname() problem

If I run the following code from the command line ("php -q socktest.php") it 
works fine. If I try to run it through a browser gethostbyname fails (prints 
unchanged host name).

<?php print gethostbyname( 'www.msn.com' ); ?>

What gives?
