Might want to change this to "was" instead of "is" to be consistent with
"returned". I personally would have turned the whole thing around and
just said "as of this version, realpath no longer returns &false; if
path is an empty string or &null;"
However, I am wondering what is *does* return in that case... you might
want to add that piece of information here too.
