1. and 2. are already implemented.
You should read the readme carefully.
1. header_"configsuffix".php (in include) defines a header for the forum(s) 
with that configsuffix ... the same for the footer.
2. auth.php in /include ... can be included in common.php and if you take a 
look at it you can password-protect a forum (or all if you wish)

3. may be usefull :-)
