I don't see a reason that would prevent it. From looking at the error
messages, it seems that something in the patch process went wrong.

I have archived the current version of my source tree on
ftp://ftp.tik.ee.ethz.ch/pub/people/mwa/pks-patches/my-pks-source-tree.tar.gz
Tell him to try that one; if not, he can contact me and I'll have a look at
it (what version of gcc is he using?)
