I still have problems with 5.8.1 and make test although -Dt
seems to indicate that the last perl op executed is
(/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.1/Test/Harness/Iterator.pm:53)        readline


make test in Inline-0.44 takes
52 seconds here under 5.8.0.

Same code under 5.8.1 MAINT18638
 (.patch == 18790)
doesn't complete even after waiting
10 times longer!
