Hello everyone,

could someone give me an advice how to solve my problem?

I use perl module XML::Simple to read a XML document in ISO-8859-2. It works
great but it automatically recodes all the strings to UTF8... Normally it
would be great but I need to have the strings from the document still in
ISO-8859-2 and I don't know how to make perl behave like this. I tried to use
the function from_to($my_text, "utf-8", "iso-8859-2") from the package
Encode, but it always says it cannot convert the strings. I use Perl shipped
with Suse 9.2.

Thank you very much.

J.R.
