Fortunately you dont have to hard code the url.

You can just use the relative path.

For example if your action might be is
	http://www.yoursite.com/directory/approval.pl
then you can use
	"/directory/approval.pl"
which will work if you change the "http://www.yoursite.com" portion of the
name.

Why can't you set up your development site and live site to
have the same directory structure, so that you don't have to
change the URL?

In any case, you don't have to open each file manually to
change the URL.  That's what Perl's for.
