This subject comes up alot.. mostly someone just yelling out "what is *best*
*free* perl editor?? etc... This is unanswerable and probably should never
be asked.


BUT.. I would like to mention the most NON-FREE perl editor I know of...
PERLBUILDER... actually it is an IDE.  They came out with verson #1 over a
year ago..... I had some bucks coming in for jobs on the board.. so I sprang
for the rather steep $130 or so. IT was riddled with all manner of bugs and
spent an inordinate amount of my time documenting and corresponding with
these folks... and while they fixed a few of the anomolies.... they never
got it all working just right... always saying "we'll get in the next
release not to worry"

Now.. Perlbuilder version 2 is available... for a measley $240 (don't
EVERYONE break their wrists getting the credit card out of wallets
;o))).... and only another $130 for us "valued users".


Are these people nutz???
