Hello all,

I have been unsuccessfully attempting to install MIME-Base64 on my system.
I am using a Win98 machine with Cygnus tools installed. The results have
been as follows:

perl Makefile.pl
->Bad command or file name
->Writing Makefile for URI
make
->Error on line 736: expecting target : dependencies

Line 736 of the Makefile contains the following:
# --- MakeMaker pm_to_blib section:

pm_to_blib: $(TO_INST_PM)
	@$(PERL) "-I$(INST_ARCHLIB)" "-I$(INST_LIB)" \
	"-I$(PERL_ARCHLIB)" "-I$(PERL_LIB)" -MExtUtils::Install \
        -e "pm_to_blib(qw[ <<pmfiles.dat ],'$(INST_LIB)\auto')"

$(PM_TO_BLIB)
<<
	@$(TOUCH) $@

Anyone have any ideas? I know the package might be available via ppm, but
I would like to be able to use the much broader range of packages available
on CPAN that haven't been converted to ppm format.

Thanks,

Beau
