What you are doing is fairly standard stuff.  No need to go reinventing the 
wheel here.  Post the crux of your code that is having the problem, also 
post your flavor of windows and perl version.  Also make sure you have a 
fairly recent Access driver (you can find this via the ODBC manager).  I 
have version 4.00.6304.0000 on WinXP box.

That sample code I posted should do exactly what you are looking for...just 
change out the SQL statement and the path to your Access database.
