you need to put the tar.gz file in a seperate directory.

so if the ppd file is in c: then the tar.gz file has to be in c:\x86 
directory for it to find it.

try command c:>ppm install win32-adminmisc.ppd

and it should not ask you any questions and if the path is correct will 
do the installation.

As I don't have internet on the NT machine where I
want to install ADMINMISC module, I built a PPM
package. I Did it from
ftp://www.roth.net/pub/ntperl/adminmisc/20000708/Bin/Adminmisc_5006.zip
... Hope it is fully compatible with Activestate v 5.6.0
build 617 .

I now have a problem with PPM, it prefix the
adminmisc.tar.gz name with  a / and then can't read
it:

PPM> install win32-adminmisc.ppd
Install package 'win32-adminmisc.ppd?' (y/N): y
Retrieving package 'win32-adminmisc.ppd'...
Error installing package 'win32-adminmisc.ppd': Read
of ./adminmisc.tag.gz failed

I also tried to put the complete path:

PPM> install win32-adminmisc --location=c:\perl56\bin\
Install package 'win32-adminmisc?' (y/N): y
Retrieving package 'win32-adminmisc'...
Error installing package 'win32-adminmisc': Read of
c:\perl56\bin\/adminmisc.tag.gz failed

How I can deal with it, in oder to get the correct
name ?
