Just a minor note, but as shipped:

[build@build01 contrib]$ ls -l ldif*
-rw-rw-r--  1 root root 9484 Oct 27 13:05 ldifdiff.pl
-rwxrwxr-x  1 root root 2751 Oct 27 13:05 ldifsort.pl
-rwxrwxr-x  1 root root 1633 Oct 27 13:05 ldifuniq.pl


looks like ldifdiff.pl needs to be set executable in CVS.
