Dear all,

Hi. This is imacat from Taiwan.

I wonder if there is any plan to fix PHP crack extension bug#970 on
x86_64?

http://pecl.php.net/bugs/bug.php?id=9710

I guess it is because the current PHP crack extension is using a
bundled cracklib 2.7, which may be too old for x86_64. The current
version of cracklib, from SourceForge, is 2.8.10:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cracklib
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=130213

Is there any way to use crack with system's existing cracklib,
rather than the bundled one? My system is Debian AMD64 port. Debian's
patched cracklib 2.7-19 works fine for me on other parts of the system.
I would prefer using system's existing cracklib, to avoid conflict with
the loaded system's cracklib by my mod_perl applications.

Thank you very much in advance.
