It's kind of a placeholder at present - I really need to implement a 
callback to toSql.. (which returns strings that should not be escaped to 
build the query) - I'm not sure about using the built in toString 
handler at present - I have a feeling it would tend to supprise end 
users more than be the expected behaviour.
