Additional to Cox answer:
Test scripts are recommanded when your module has to by compiled, requires
special extentions/ programs or needs correct installed additional files
(templates, graphics)

Examples are a good idea, especially when your module has a complex API.
Important: Examples are a part of a documention only. Don't create examples
instead of a documention.
