I don't want to sound rude again, but:

* Did we already decide to weaken the coding standard in respect to
  the function names? (If we didn't do, your function names do not
  correspond to the coding standard.)

* Shouldn't we discuss / announce new commits on pear-dev first?

Sorry for nitpicking, put I really want PEAR to be consistent.
