Subject: [patchmanagement] Windows 10 Forced Upgrade
Hi Folks,
Getting ready (or not) for Windows 10 By Susan Bradley on May 26, 2016 in=
Patch Watch, Top Story
http://windowssecrets.com/patch-watch/getting-ready-or-not-for-windows-10/
Yes, unfortunately, this is behind a pay wall, access that I will not be re=
newing.
"Real evidence of forced Windows 10 upgrades
First, an apology to Windows Secrets readers - and especially to my colleag=
ue Woody Leonhard. Some months back, he reported a forced Win10 upgrade on =
one of his own systems.
But I didn't believe him; I thought he'd missed some confirmation step in t=
he upgrade process. Wearing my rose-colored glasses, I've assumed that Micr=
osoft customers would always see the standard end-user license agreement (E=
ULA) before any major upgrade started.
Well, I was wrong; just as I was wrong to doubt that a Windows Secrets read=
er received a Win10 upgrade without the user's permission."
(I hope the above is considered "Fair Use")
Susan, you already know my opinion of the Microsoft Culture and the upper m=
anagement that perpetuate it, from this LIST, your Blog<http://blogs.msmvps=
.com/bradley/2016/05/20/windows-10-and-the-forced-release/#comments>, comme=
nts and Emails, so I am not going to repeat myself. What I would like to kn=
ow, is it possible for you to put on and wear those 'Rose Colored Glasses' =
again ON OCCASION? I believe they have served you and us very well, at time=
s. They have allowed you access that, that most of us would not ever achiev=
e. That has allowed and offered many a solution to many problems. In fact t=
hey, I believe, have been a huge part of the your MVP qualification. We(and=
maybe you too) really need somebody to take on that challenge, going into =
the future, even if they realize the truth.
As I have said before, I realize how painful this is and has been for you. =
For that I do grieve......
Thank You for coming clean Susan, maintaining your awesome credibility and =
your veracity!!!! We believe in you and are here for you.
Best Regards,
Crysta
