Rereading my original post, I wonder about this:

If at some point in time you installed a hotfix, then yes, it's possible you are on \
the LDR branch.

MU/WU shouldn't offer up a patch that you don't need.  Notice I'm not saying won't \
because well.... detection problems on occasion can occur.

I'd say if it's being offered up, and given that I haven't seen anyone complain about \
detection that you just might be on the LDR branch.  The way to check is to pick a \
sample dll that it's patching and see if that binary gives hints that it's an LDR or \
GDR version.  To the best of my knowledge you can only do this with a tool like cbs \
package inspector or hex editor program and we're now really down in the weeds of \
where mere mortals shouldn't have to be going to in order to trust the MU delivery \
pipe.
