I always get squirmy when Microsoft uses the term "intelligently."

There's much that could go wrong.

In an April 7 blog post, the Edge team explained that users will get more control \
over Flash content<https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2016/04/07/putting-users-in-control-of-flash/> \
with the summer update to Edge.

From that post:
"With the Anniversary Update to Windows 10, Microsoft Edge will intelligently \
auto-pause content that is not central to the web \
page<https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2016/04/07/putting-users-in-control-of-flash/>. \
Peripheral content like animations or advertisements built with Flash will be \
displayed in a paused state unless the user explicitly clicks to play that content. \
This significantly reduces power consumption and improves performance while \
preserving the full fidelity of the page. Flash content that is central to the page, \
like video and games, will not be paused."
