I've had to do that several times and it's very effective but the key
point is that it will only happen on REBOOT so at a large site it can be
a bit of a pain unless automated reboot is initiated on a specific time,
which is what I did to ensure that it happened in a timely fashion so
that I could report completion to our Corporate IT that removal of X
software is complete.

One 'trick' would be first to deploy using gpo (software installation)
and
then remove, then it would be removed on next reboot.

I have been trying to find an unattended uninstall script/string but no
go
and I need to remove it from close to 500 computers (no servers). This
is a
domain managed environment. All clients are XP SP3 while AD is Windows
Server 2003 with schema extended to accommodate Vista/Server 2008
features...
Is there someone who have been able to get this done before? Any
ideas/suggestions?
