A while back I emailed Mark Russinovich (creator of psexec) regarding
psexec sending credentials in the clear. He assured me that it only
sends credentials in plain text when the user name and password is
specified on the cmd line. In the case of running psexec as a user who
has privileges on the machine its running against, normal windows
encryption mechanisms are used (NTLMx , Kerberos).

Once you figure out what you want to deploy, you may want to look at
xCmd to actually execute it
(http://www.codeguru.com/Cpp/I-N/network/remoteinvocation/article.php/c5
433,
http://tinyurl.com/4q42r).

Unlike psexec, xCmd does NOT transfer your username and password in
plain text. (Note that the text transferred during the session is sent
in plain text.)

Better yet, source code is available.
