Ooops oops! I should really start reading emails fully! I misread your
email, I assumed you were talking of unstructured grid. For structrued
datasets, Xdmf is going to work just fine, even with 3.10. It will
read sub-extents on each processes correctly.
(Thankfully Berk caught my error).
