Yes.  I use PADL's pam_ldap, but the built-in Sun nss_ldap.  Don't use
Sun's pam_ldap module.

Dunno.  I compiled pam_ldap with gcc.

I would recommend using the netscape ldap libraries, but maybe that's just
because I'm used to them.
