Execute the following command in a Bourne-type shell:

LD_LIBRARY_PATH="" ldd /usr/lib/security/pam_ldap.so.1

If any required libraries come up "not found", you need to recompile
pam_ldap.so.1, but set LD_RUN_PATH to the directory containing the
required libraries when you "make" it.
