Hi,
  two questions actually...

1) Where is the PADL pamldap mail list archived. The welcome msg to this list
gives: http://lists.padl.com/archive/pamldap/threads.html. There are only about
9 msgs there and the latest is dated 28 Jan 2000. So they're obviously not
being archived to that site.

2) I've managed to get mostly everything running quite nicely with the pamldap
module under Solaris7, talking to my openldap server. The authentication seems
fine. I'm just looking at openssh to see if that will handle my ssh
authentication too. However, I cannot seem to change either local or ldap
passwords. My setup is that root has a password in /etc/shadow, but my other
test users have only LDAP passwords (i.e their entry in /etc/shadow is *LK*). My
/etc/nsswitch.conf file has:
	passwd: files ldap
and I have installed the nss-ldap module. My /etc/pam.conf file contains the
following related to passwords:
	other password required /usr/lib/security/pam_ldap.so
	other password required /usr/lib/security/pam_unix.so.1 use_first_pass
When I try to change the root p/w I get:
	root@heracles# passwd root
	Permission denied
And when I try to change a user p/w I get:
	sme@heracles:<11:17> passwd sme
	Enter login(LDAP) password:
	New password:
	Re-enter new password:
	Segmentation fault
I've tried a few variations in the pam.conf file but none seem to work.

Any pointers in the right direction would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance
Stephen Meatheringham
