Hello,

 Has anybody run into the situation where a firewall was blocking the
dns requests made by pam_ldap?  I am running into a scenario where
logging into machines is slow (b/c of 5 second dns timeouts) when the
dns request traverses the firewall.  Pam_ldap makes a _LOT_ of dns
requests to log a user in so i am wondering if people had any issues
with this behavior?

I am running redhat 8 openldap 2.2.17 pam_ldap 176...
