Hi

I am trying to implement pam_ccreds ( caching of the LDAP entries ) to make
sure people can login even if the LDAP server crashes.

I installed Berkeley DB 4.2.52 and then ran the configure for nss_updatedb.
When I try to run the make I get the following message.

make all-am
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/ldap/nss_updatedb-1'
gcc -g -Wall -g -O2 -o nss_updatedb main.o cache.o updatedb.o -ldl
cache.o(.text+0x6e): In function `nss_cache_init':
/home/ldap/nss_updatedb-1/cache.c:57: undefined reference to `db_create'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [nss_updatedb] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ldap/nss_updatedb-1'
make: *** [all] Error 2

The function db_create exists in db.h file. Do I need some other version of
Berkeley DB.

Has anyone compiled nss_updatedb successfully on Linux?

Am I missing something? Or should I install pam_ccreds first and then
install nss_updatedb?

Thanks

Ranga
