Hallo!

Has somebody experiences with pam_mount together with pam-ldap and
nss-ldap?

I use pam-ldap for authentication against an ldap server and then try to
mount home directories for the users from a smb file server via
pam_mount. In the meantime I changed to pam_mount 0.3.2.

It seems, that pam_mount does not work with ldap.

If I log in with a local account, I get debug messages from pam_mount.
With an ldap
account, there is nothing to see, that pam_mount is active and does
anything. No debug message, nothing at all.

Is'nt it part of the design of pam, that every pam module should work
with every other?

Perhaps it could be a problem with the configuration files in pam.d
(that the order of the modules or the parameters are important) or with
ldap.conf or nsswitch.conf (that the files must be changed, if they are
used with pam_mount).
I try to check this, but unfortunately I am not an expert in pam.

Best Regards
Michael
