already discovered your changes and gave it a try.
Works pretty well for me together with iOS Notes app.
Personally have only a few notes (<50), so it feels pretty fast.

I just merged an oC8 compatible version on https://github.com/owncloud/notes, that should work fine. Haven’t uploaded it to the AppStore yet though.

However, there is a bug in the Node API which will make the Notes app a somewhat cumbersome experience at the moment on ownCloud 8, for more information see https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/14107
