By the way, if you are just looking to have remote 1-wire, any scheme (like the
Linksys WRT54G wireless router) that has a small embedded linux box will do the
trick. Netwrok traffic and robustness will also improve.
I guess we could also support the LINK ascii protocol.

Ya, it's unfortunate isn't it. Check out this link:
http://www.stallion.com.au/html/download/es2-utilities.html
I talked to lantronix (ibutton linkhubE uses their chip) a while ago about
making their product work in Linux. I also have a newer version of the code.
One of the techs over there was kind enough to give it to me if anyone is
interested.

| When you talked to the LinkHubE, did you use the ascii commands? They
| may be easier than the raw 9097 protocol that depends on timing and

| ascii break instead of the 9097s.
|
| I wonder if you could test ttyd for the 9097U? Even on the same

| If you are willing to help, I'm sure we can. Our strategy should be:
| 1. Ask ibuttonlink for details of the protocol.
| 2. Use ttyd with ascii mode. (Or a mixed ascii/9907U protocol.
| 3. snoop the communication on the net.
