Since this was a partial fiber cut this morning, perhaps they had to complete the cut \
to repair it this afternoon and that knocked Andrew Bunde out?

*** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 08-Feb-2017 20:41:38 GMT From CASE: - Event

Field Services were able to locate and pull slack from the second hand-hole and are \
preparing a trench. The splice repair team is on site and splicing activities will \
commence shortly. The ETR is undetermined at this time.

*** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 08-Feb-2017 19:37:44 GMT From CASE: - Event

Field Services have reported that the West hand-hole has been excavated; however \
slack fiber is not available in the hand-hole. Field Services have located the East \
hand-hole and are beginning excavation activities to identify slack fiber at that \
location. The fiber splicing repair teams are still en route to the site and are \
expected to arrive by 20:00 GMT. Once the slack fiber has been located and the \
repair teams are on-site splicing activities will commence. The estimated time to \
repair is undetermined.

*** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 08-Feb-2017 18:11:25 GMT From CASE: - Event

Fiber splicing repair teams are still en route and the ETA remains at 19:00 GMT, the \
next update will be provided once the repair teams have arrived on site.

*** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 08-Feb-2017 16:51:32 GMT From CASE: - Event Upon further \
investigation, Field Services has reported that the issue has been isolated to a \
partial fiber cut. The partial fiber cut occurred as Level 3 Field Services were \
cutting a hand-hole into the duct as part of pre-implementation work for an upcoming \
fiber relocation. The Fiber duct was believed to have been empty and therefore, no \
impact was expected. Fiber splicing repair teams are still en route and have provided \
an estimated time for arrival (ETA) of 19:00 GMT. An estimated time for repair (ETR) \
is still unknown at this time.

02/08/2017 15:42:29 GMT - 02/08/2017 14:52:53 GMT - The Transport NOC has reported \
that a suspected fiber cut between Niles, MI and Gary, IN is impacting unprotected \
transport services. The Transport NOC is engaging Field Services for further \
investigations. Please be advised that updates for this event will be relayed at a \
minimum of hourly unless otherwise noted. The information conveyed hereafter is \
associated to live troubleshooting effort and as the discovery process evolves \
through to service resolution, ticket closure, or post incident review, details may \
evolve.

*** CASCADED EXTERNAL NOTES 08-Feb-2017 15:54:56 GMT From CASE: - Event The Transport \
NOC reported that the fiber cut is due to a ground crew cutting through a duct that \
was suspected to be empty. Field Services are en route and will be repairing the \
fiber in the existing duct, however; there is no estimated time for repair at this \
time.
