BTW, the ownership of ossec-wui is as follows:


drwxr-xr-x 8 1000 1000 4096 Dec 28 13:24 ossec-wui

This is running on a CentOS box with apache as user.

Perhaps the ownership or group of the directory should be changed?

Permissions of /var/ossec is:

dr-xr-x--- 13 root ossec 4096 Dec 27 22:11 ossec

Permission of /var/ossec/logs is:

drwxr-x---  5 ossec ossec 4096 Dec 27 22:11 logs

Permission of /var/ossec/logs/ossec.log is:

-rw-rw-r-- 1 ossec ossec 30248 Dec 28 13:50 ossec.log
