For the many that were interested in this feature:

The top of tree source now has the notification filters removed/changed 
to comparison filters.  That is, these filters will now filter the 
logs, not the notification system.

This is the main feature for the next release.  For those that 
experiment with this, please forward any bugs to this list.  Thanks.
