-----------------

Changes between 2.0.1 and 2.1 [9 November 2003]

FIXES:

- fixed email notification system to work with qmail. The line
termination
   characters were not always <CR><LF>.

- default syslog parameters are now DAEMON.NOTICE

- fixed configure bug that didn't handle system OpenSSL compiled with
   kerberos support (e.g. RH 9).

- fixed install script to handle perm settings in a more portable
   fashion.

- fixed bug with db compare header elements on FreeBSD 4.8 and earlier.

FEATURES:

- osirisd now has a new argument (-n) and the scanning process will nice
or set its priority according to the argument given.

- solidified email and www update system. Upon receiving a
notification, user
logs into management console, views the scan log, and can optionally
update
the trusted db. This allows for a little more verification of the
emailed
   log data.

- added support for per-host configurable notify email option.

- added delete-host, delete-config, delete-db commands.

- added verify config command. Configs are now verified before
being saved. Previously, it was easy to edit a config, save it,
and not realize it contained errors until the scheduler tried to use
it.

- added support for the following command syntax: <cmd> <host> <name>
for configs and databases. This allows one to do something like:

       set-base-db myhost some_db

   or

       push-config myhost some_config

- the directory where the management daemon stores hosts
(logs,configs,dbs)
   is now configurable in osirismd.conf
