You should sign up to the project mailing list \
(http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/live-demo) and introduce yourself. They \
always have something going on.

As an example each project has a quickstart (how to run it and how to make it do \
something). You could volunteer to "test" those instructions (and you may want to \
                look at the code at the same time).
