Indeed, they're gone now.

To build something for a clamshell model (formerly known as corgi,
shepherd, and husky since no one but me did any work on spitz yet), set
MACHINE = "c7x0".
There is no need to define a SUBMACHINE or whatsoever since
virtual/kernel now builds all three kernel variants (for 2.4, for 2.6 we
use a unified kernel).
