I don't know anything about your controller software, so I won't be able to help you \
diagnose problems with it.  However, if it helps, in OVS an "internal" port is one \
that OVS has created as a system device.  For example, if you created a bridge called \
"br0", then OVS would create an internal device called "br0" that shows up in \
ifconfig.
