while doing so it makes very much sense to drop the CA part entirely.
Self-signed server certificates are sufficient and having test-CAs
only requires a lot of care from the users to not let them drop into
other hands.

Since we do not need to create any CA, it is really easy
to use certtool.
This would remove the package dependency to openssl...
