While I personally don't care about IE at all (happy for that), I
absolutely second what you said in regard of customer perception ..

"The browser market is still largely Internet Explorer turf, and having
template like Infobox Software, that should be on every software description
page, broken, is guarantee that a lot of the visitors will laugh, and
completely understand claims that Linux is designed by bunch of amateurs."

.. we need to take care of this. Thus, thanks to bring this to public attention!
