Exactly what model is that HP? How old, less than 8-9 months ago designed, maybe 
a Kaby Lake? If so, you may need to be asking for help from one of the 
kernel.org mailing lists or the intel-gfx@lists.freedesktop.org or the 
xorg@lists.x.org or xorg@freedesktop.org mailing list.
