Might be your setup issue, might be worth to talk to MariaDB folks so
they can make it faster if there is a real problem. Anyway, openSUSE has
both, so decide for yourself.

MariaDB has the same API so anything that works with MySQL should be
able to work with MariaDB as well and so far the best management tool I
have seen is phpMyAdmin which works with both :-)

+1 for Johannes comment, stop ranting and trolling and describe the real
