I use Kontact 4.4 on KF 4.7 ever since KR47 was created. No problems.
Upstream blogged about the PIM print a while ago. According to that blog post many 
bugfixes can only end up in Kontact 4.8 because of library changes that are disallowed 
during a release cycle.
