25.4mm (should be) == 19.5mm (real)
Which resembles the ~125 DPI (real) of my display vs. the 96 dpi (broken
firefox setting I cannot change).

And trying again - suddenly I can change it and it does work.
Ok, everything back to normal, then. Maybe it needed a few browser
restarts or that update to 4.0b10 fixed it :-)
...one more reason to go for 4.0 :)
