It is really cool. In kde4 it is cleaned-up, there isn't a side bar and the icon size is small so you get a really compact and efficient menu. (much easier to navigate in my opinion). The pluses of the kde4 classic rework is that you can add the 'recently installed', 'recently used applications' and 'recently used documents' to the menu as well as other new menu features of the kickoff menu. However, you still can't add a menu 'folder' to the panel like you could simply do in kde3. I have elevated my 'wish' to a 'bug' at kde.org, because this isn't a wish, it is a regression and loss of functionality that needs attention.
