I can't remember the exact details of all the things that happened to 
me... the last incident was a "/home" that failed to mount (I don't 
remember why, but it was my fault), and login as user did not succeed. 
The machine was local, so no big problem.

If that happened to a remote machine with root login disallowed, I would 
have been stuck.
