Well, your/our new openSUSE Leap42 is based on SLE.  In SLE, there is no
kernel-desktop.  To create one would have been more work for little or
no reason.

Presumably because SLE is locked down and changing the kernel is simply
not an option.  Especially when there's no real reason to.

Because there is no kernel-desktop in SLE, the basis for openSUSE
Leap42.
