Yes, that's correct, and it was clear at once what had happened, because I 
knew that the (real) files were where they should be. That happened 
because I was in a rush; I am trying to get done with all the things that 
must be done before I get on an airplane in the morning. I doubt that I 
will be  able to do anything with the resulting mess until my return, 
after which I clean things up and do it right. In the meantime, thank you 
for your help  and your patience. 

I am closing down the computer now.
